I have seen two particularly prominent castles within Naples itself; the Castel dell'Ovo (egg castle!) and the Castel Nuovo (new castle). The latter has been hollowed out and now contains town hall meetings, an art museum, confused tourists looking for toilets, and some very modern-looking busts that are only from the 19th century.
